The Twin River girls basketball team trailed 18-11 at the half and 33-23
after three quarters before Cross County pulled away for a 44-25
victory Thursday night in Genoa.
Clara Preister led the Titans with 15 points, Delaney Reeg scored 8 and
Hannah Yrkoski added two in the scoring column for Twin River.
Coach Pilakowski said, “Cross County is a high level basketball team so
it was good for our girls to show up and play them pretty tough for
three quarters. Moral victories kind of stink though and our girls know
that. At any rate, tonight was a step in the right direction on the
defensive end. If we can figure out a way to score a few more points
against quality defenses then we will have something.”
The Titans are in action next week at home vs Wisner Pilger on 1/17 and Clarkson-Leigh on 1/19 for parents night.
